Biographical Information
Clergyman, born in the Island of Mull, Scotland, 12 June 1774; died in New York City, 17 February 1833. His father, Rev. Niel McLeod, was the entertainer of Dr. Samuel Johnson on the latter's visit to Mull. The son came to this country while yet young, was graduated at Union College in 1798, licensed to preach in the following year, and ordained over two churches - one in New York and one in Wallkill, NY.
