Biographical Information

Son of Dr. Matthias Burnet and Phebe (Smith) Miller, was born at No. 156 Queen St., New York City, July 31, 1779, and died at his home in Utica, NY, November 16, 1824. He was sent up the river to enter Union College, where he was graduated with valedictorian honors in 1798.
