Elected as a Whig to the twentieth Congress and reelected to the twenty-seventh Congress. Member of the State Senate and seventh district judge of the Supreme Court until his death in 1850.

Born May 29, 1789 in Norwich, Connecticut. Married in Florence, Italy and was living in California in 1858.

McDonald, Robert
Surgeon's Mate, 7th Regiment, detached Militia, State of New York. Died November 24, 1812 at Champlain.

Morrell, John
Married to Abbey who died in the village of Caughnawaga at the age of 44. John Morrell died April 24, 1864 at the age of 76.

Morris, William Augustus
Born 1796 and died 1818 by accidentally being killed. He was the son of Gen. Jacob Morris, whom the town of Morris was named after.

Payne, Abraham
An attorney at law, admitted to the Court of Chancery and authorized to practice as a solicitor. Private in Captain Joseph Manzy's Company, 4th Regiment, VA Militia. Died May 7, 1854.

Perry, William
A distinguished physician and surgeon and was considered one of the best practitioners in his county. Delivered lectures before the Legislature on the subject of insanity, which helped the public opinion in favor of an Insane Asylum. Died January 11, 1887 at the age of 98.

Putnam, Rufus
Was in the canal transportation business in New York and died May 18, 1845. His grandfather is said to have taken part in the Boston Tea Party, disguised as an Indian.

Sanders, Peter
Born February 17, 1792 in Schenectady, NY. Married Maria Elmendorf and died May 12, 1850.

Schermerhorn, Abraham Maus
The first cashier of the Cherry Valley Bank and went on to become president of the Bank of Monroe. For three months he was mayor of Rochester and was later elected to the United States Congress.

Private in Captain John Phelps's Company, 18th Regiment and Private in Captain John L. Riker's Company, 1st Regimen, NY Militia.

Taylor, Elisha
The first superintendent of the first Cleveland Sabbath School and a charter member of the Old Stone Church. Died April 23, 1861 in Cleveland.

Tillotson, John C.
Son of Thomas Tillotson, former Secretary of State of the United States. He was appointed District Attorney and was a member of Assembly from Ulster County, NY. He served as a Major in the War of 1812.

Trotter, John
Resident of Albany, NY and a member of the Philomathean Society. Died December 31, 1862 at age 75.

Van Rensselaer, John S.
President of the Philomathean Society. Quartermaster in a regiment in the War of 1812, served as Aid on the staff of General Brown and was Military Secretary and Confidential Aid to Governor DeWitt Clinton. He was later appointed judge of the county and Major General in the Militia of the State.

Van Schaack, John
A resident of Kinderhook, NY and a member of the Philomathean Society. Died 1811 from typhus fever shortly after having graduated from Union College.

Vosburgh, Jacob Evert
Born February 15, 1787 in Kinderhook, NY. Was a member of the Philomathean Society and died in 1836, Illinois.

Whitney, Andrew G.
Held various positions in city affairs, some of which included Trustee of Detroit, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, recorder of Detroit and Wayne County, and Secretary of the Legal Board. Died of cholera on October 26, 1826.

Wilson, William Henry
Appointed Hospital Surgeon's mate in the Army of the United States in the War of 1812. Continued to serve at the Northern frontier until the conclusion of the war. Was appointed judge of the Columbia Courts for five years.

Woodruff, Hezekiah
Private in Captain Moses Hayden's Company, Shepard's Regiment, Conn. State Troops. Once dismissed from the ministry he went on to pursue law and medicine, but found himself unsuccessful.
