Brownell, Thomas Church
First president of Trinity College (1824-1831) in Hartford. He entered the College of Rhode Island (now Brown University) in 1800; switched to Union College in 1802 and graduated in 1804. When Rev. Eliphalet Nott became president, Brownell was appointed tutor in Latin and Greek. He died at Hartford, Connecticut, on January 13, 1865.

Glen, Cornelius
Son of Hendrick and Elisabeth, daughter of Johannes Vischer, December 9, 1762. Cornelius born June 5, 1785, died April 25, 1822.

Glen, John
John Glen was of Scottish descent. He was in the British army and came to Columbia with his brother Edward Glen. John imported liquors and was active with Bolivar during the Independence.

Haight, Benjamin
Son of Benjamin Haight of New York City. Born before 1796, an attorney, died in New York around 1840. Probably received A.M. Columbia College, 1816.

Kinney, Thomas
Son of Col. Abraham and Hannah Kinney. Admitted to the bar in February 1808. Surrogate of Essex County, NJ, for several years. Member NJ assembly, 1817-1819. Died January 3, 1826.

Livingston, Daniel
Born 1786; died 1827. Son of John and Mary Ann Livingston. Married Eliza Oothout in 1809.

Non-graduate of 1804, a resident of Redhook, was a member of the Philomathean Society. He died prior to 1830.

McAuley, Thomas
Born in Ireland 1778, graduate of Union College 1804; tutor 1805-1806; lecturer of Mathematics and Natural Philosophy 1806-1814; became a pastor in New York City.

McMurray, William
Born in Salem, NY, 1784; Graduate of Union College 1804; tutor at U.C. 1806-1807; was a member of the Adelphic Society; died 1835.

Morrell was a noted lawyer and held the office of Chief Judge of Common Pleas in Fulton County, NY.

Peek, Harmanus
A Representative from New York; born in Albany, N. Y.; moved to Schenectady where he completed preparatory studies; member of the State Assembly in 1816 and 1817; elected to the Sixteenth Congress (March 4, 1819-March 5, 1821). Died Schenectady September 27, 1858.

Perry, Gardner Braman
Graduate Union College, Schenectady, N.Y., 1804. Was the son of Nathan and Phebe (Braman) Perry. Born August 9, 1783. He entered Brown University, but in 1802 left for Union College. After graduating, he was the Principal of the Ballston Academy, N.Y. for one year. Thenceforth, till 1807, he was tutor in Union College. He then assisted the charge of the academy at Kingston, N.Y., where he remained till 1812. On the 28th of September, 1814, ha was settled as pastor of the Congregational church at East Bradford (now Groveland) where he continued as sole pastor till the year 1857.

Rogers, Daniel
Member of the Adelphic Society. Law partner with Mr. Le Roy and afterward moved to New York where he published the City Hall Recorder.

Minister, born 1787, died in 1835. A.B. from Union 1804, D.D. from Columbia, 1822.

Van Vechten, Phillip
Philip was the son of Abraham and Catharina (Schuyler) Van Vechten. He was born July 14, 1786 and died February 1, 1814. He was not married. His father received the honorary degree of L.L.D. from Union College in 1835,

Henry Veeder by the direction of his father has never joined the college since his first examination when he was admitted into the class of languages.

Son of Rev. John and Mrs. Margaret Warford. Prepared for college at Washington Academy, Salem, NY. Became an attorney.

Whitridge, William Cushing
A physician. Born November 25, 1784 and died December 28. 1857. Entered Brown University in 1800, but subsequently went to Union College where he graduated with distinction in 1804. Received honorary title of Doctor of Medicine from Harvard.
