Abstract
The goal of this project is to design a device that aids in the positioning and fixation of an ultrasound probe in a patient’s subxiphoid area. Such fixation will allow for intermittent monitoring of the patient’s heart through the subcostal view and enable medical personnel to more easily and immediately identify cardiac complications in the ICU.
