Abstract
This senior project involves the relationship between prosthetic sockets and their relative comfort in users. Most amputees with below knee prosthetics are in constant pain due to improperly fit prosthetics and the socket not adapting to changes in residual limb fluctuations. There are very few solutions to this problem that allow for easy adjustability of the socket and completely ease the pain. This project attempts to address this issue of the changing limb volume that leads to pain and discomfort by designing an adjustable below knee prosthetic insert.
