Abstract
The purpose of the research reported in this thesis was the synthesis of one of a class of compounds, ω-napthyl-alkyl-substituted nitro benzaldehydes, for use in later work involving photochemistry. The compound chosen was p-(ω-naphthyl-propyl-)-2-nitro-banzaldehyde.
