Abstract
To find a rapid qualitative test to detect organic pesticides in water, the following method is proposed: 1. Extraction of the pesticide from water by use of an organic solvent 2. Use of gas chromatography with a collection to separate the pesticide from other substances soluble in the solvent 3. Use of an infrared spectrum for identification of the pesticide.
