Abstract
The purpose of this investigation is to study the effect of temperature on the reaction between methyl alcohol and phenol over an activated alumina catalyst. This effect is determined by observing the difference in the amounts of phenolic and phenolic ether compounds formed at these temperatures, which range from approximately 325 degrees Celsius to 420 Celsius.
