Abstract
Although the polarographic behavior of cobalt and its various compounds and complexes have been intensively investigated using the dropping mercury electrode. Therefore, it was felt that a voltammetric investigation of cobalt in the form of CoSO4 ⋅ 7H2O using both the dropping mercury electrode and the mercury pool electrode might prove fruitful in that the two methods could be compared and the feasibility of using the mercury pool method as an analytical tool for cobalt might be evaluated.
