Abstract
The infrared spectra of aluminum metaphosphate, aluminum pyrophosphate, and the ortho acid phosphates were studies in the 2u to 15u region. The distinct absorption regions of each compound were located. The type of bond which caused the absorption is suggested. The spectra of the aluminum phosphates were found to be very similar to the spectra of other phosphates.
