Description
The inscription "S.e" suggests "Sestaione," which seems to have been Stillman's generic notion of this set of sites. This view of an unidentified, partially ruined mill complex speaks in a vernacular way to Stillman's abiding interest in archaeological sites of notable places such as Rome as well as anonymous corners of the Tuscan mountains.
