Description
Like the view of the Sestaione at the beginning of this album, this view of a water-power complex is a compelling testament to Stillman's technical prowess and his picturesque vision. The composition is rigorously balanced between descriptive detail and atmospheric space, and all of the prints in this album display an impressive, subtle, and complex tonality. The precise identity of this structure also remains elusive. Some of the structures resemble those in the previous photograph, but it is not possible to correlate them directly.
