Biographical Information

Born in Bowden, Scotland, January 20, 1783. Came to America in July, 1795. Graduated Union College, 1806. Licensed to preach April 16, 1812. Became a Hebrew scholar and was Principal of the Academy in New Brunswick, NJ. Later principal of the Grammar School in Schenectady and a tutor in Union College. He died April 27, 1849.
