Biographical Information

A Representative from New York; born in Waterford, NY, May 17, 1779; attended the rural schools and was graduated from Union College in 1801; studied law, was admitted to the bar, and commenced practice in Waterford, NY; presidential elector on the Democratic ticket of Jefferson and Clinton in 1804; appointed a master in chancery in 1805; member of the State assembly in 1806 and 1811; died in Waterford, June 1, 1870.
