Description
This photograph served as the frontispiece of Stillman's Poetic Localities of Cambridge, printed with heliotypes in 1876. Stillman seems to have taken the photographs specifically as illustrations for the texts by Oliver Wendell Holmes, James Russell Lowell, and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow that he selected for this publication.
