Sexual violence is a serious problem and it is important to understand the various ways that communities can respond both through policy and programs to better help people who are victims of sexual violence. Case studies of three different community organizations that work with sex crimes and violence against women are conducted. Similarities and differences in the organizations as well as relevant legal issues are examined; recommendations for effective community responses and programs are made.
