Biographical Information

Avery was born in Aurora, NY, December 3, 1801. He built a foundry for the manufacture of plows. After his factory was destroyed it was used as a hospital during the Civil War. He and his sons later built another Avery Plow Company. Avery died in Louisville on March 3, 1885
