    Andrews, Sherlock J.

    Born in 1801 in Wallingford, Connecticut and later settled in Cleveland, Ohio. He was Judge of the Superior Court of the State of Ohio, was elected a Representative in Congress and was a member of a Committee on Commerce.

  • Baker, Smith

    Baker, Smith

    Was a resident of White Plains, NY, born 1801. He studied law and practiced in Westchester county.

  • Bard, Isaac

    Bard, Isaac

    Born 1787 and became a diligent missionary who organized and preached at several churches. He died July 29, 1878.

  • Bartles, Charles

    Bartles, Charles

    Born in Germantown, New Jersey in 1801 and was one of the first directors of the Belvidere Delaware Railroad. Was president of the Flemington Water Works since its establishment and died in 1883.

  • Beardslee, Augustus

    Beardslee, Augustus

    During his time at Union, he was a member of the Adelphic Society. In 1828, he was appointed one of the judges of the Common Pleas of Herkimer County and later elected to the Assembly.

    Berdan, David

    1825 he was admitted as an attorney of the Supreme Court and later died in 1827. He was a resident of New Yok City and a member of the Adelphic Society at Union.

    Boyden, Nathaniel

    Born 1796 in Conway, Massachusetts. He was a member of the State House of Commons, served in the State Senate, was a member of the Legislature of North Carolina, and was later elected a Republican to the Fortieth Congress.

    Son of Reverend David Butler, died at the age of 31 in White Plains, Westchester County.

    Bynum, Jesse Atherton

    Born 1797 in Halifax County, North Carolina and became a Representative in Congress for the state. He married Maria Funsten and died 1839.

    He was a resident of Greenville, NY, born 1803. At Union, he was a member of the Philomathean Society and died 1859.

    A physician and father to three children.

    Born 1798 in Salem, NY and later organized the church of Newburgh in 1835. He died 1854.

    Studied law and went on to become a Representative from New York. He was a member of the Philomathean Society and died 1856.

    Denniston, Goldsmith

    Born 1801 in Washingtonville, NY and became a lawyer and judge. He was a member of the Adelphic Society and died 1879.

    A merchant and resident of New York City. He was married to Jane Walker.

    Foot, Joseph Ives

    Born 1796 in Watertown, Connecticut. He joined the Christian ministry and became a pastor. He died 1840.

    Was a non-graduate of Union College and was a student of North Carolina in 1817.

  • Giles, George W.

    Giles, George W.

    Son of Aquila Giles and was suspended from Union for being in tavern and bad conduct in 1818.

  • Gray, Hiram

    Gray, Hiram

    A member of Phi Beta Kappa and was one of the oldest living graduates when he died in 1890. He studied law and served with credit on the Committee of Claims and was appointed Commissioner in the Court of Appeals.

    Hardenbergh, James B.

    Born in Ulster County, NY in 1800. He studied in the Theological Seminary and was pastor at several churches. He died 1870.

  • Hotchkin, John

    Hotchkin, John

    Born in Guilford, Connecticut in 1794 and was a member of the Adelphic Society while at Union. He died 1862.

  • Howell, Orson V.

    Howell, Orson V.

    A resident of Durham, NY and a member of the Philomathean Society. He had joined the ministry for a short while and died 1843.

  • Humphrey, Corrol

    Humphrey, Corrol

    Born 1805 in Connecticut and later became a resident of Albany, NY. He studied literature at Union, but upon graduation studied medicine and became a physician. He died 1833.

  • Isham, Warren

    Isham, Warren

    Studied theology and was ordained a Congregational minister. After ministry he went into business and there after, became editor and manager of The Western Intelligencer, religious, Literary and Political newspaper.
