A district attorney and a judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Washington County. He was elected a member of the Assembly of Washington County in the 1853.

Was district attorney of Rensselaer county from 1836 to 1839 and later practiced law at Albany. He died 1848 at age 53 after injury.
