    He was U.S. Surgeon for many years, as well as a physician in a hospital.

    Mills, Samuel J.

    He was a missionary, born in Torringford, Connecticut. He directed his efforts towards the formation of an American Bible Society. He was instrumental in organizing the United Foreign Missionary Society. Died at sea in 1818.
