    Born April 16, 1786 and died at a young age.

    He was a pastor at the Boght Church of Watervliet, NY as well as a minister at the church of Washington and Gibbonsville. Died 1837.

    Cady, John Watts

    Member of the New York Assembly in 1822 and was a U.S. Representative from 1823 to 1825. Died 1854 in his hometown, Johnstown, NY.

    A former mayor of New York. Shortly after graduating Union College, he accepted the office of private secretary to Governor Tompkins.

    He was a member of the Philomathean Society and later built the Constable Hall which stands as a Historic House Museum today. He died May 28, 1821.

    Corporal in Captain Abraham Matteson's Company, 1st Regiment, NY Militia.

    Newcomb, Platt

    Served as an orderly under Captain Seth Sherry, Col. Thomas Miller, 36th Regiment, Plattsburgh in the War of 1812. Represented Clinton and Franklin counties in the State Assembly in 1820.

    Nephew of Eliphalet Nott and was one of the first missionaries to be sent out to foreign lands through the first American board of foreign missions.

    Severely wounded in a battle on the northern frontier in the War of 1812. Became an attorney and died in 1863.

    Reynolds, Marcus T.

    For 26 years was a leading member of the Albany Bar which led him to the Supreme Court, Court of the Correction of Errors and the Court of Appeals. Regarded impartially as one of the three most prominent lawyers in New York State from 1837 until the adoption of the Code of Procedure.

    Physician and druggist who opened a drug store in Utica, NY upon graduating Fairfield Medical College. He died at age 40 in Wickford, 1824.

    Van Bergen, Anthony

    A judge of the County Court, member of the State Legislature and President of the New York State Historical Agricultural Society. Died December 27, 1859 at 73 years of age.

    Van Vechten, Samuel

    Born December 5, 1790 and died March 14, 1814 at 23 years of age.

  • Veeder, Matthew Ten Eyck

    Veeder, Matthew Ten Eyck

    An attorney at law who opened an office in his hometown, Schenectady, NY. He married in 1812 to Maria DeWitt and died in 1824.

  • Warner, Thomas

    Warner, Thomas

    He was a minister and for ten years was Chaplain and Professor at the United States Military Academy at West Point. He then moved to Paris where it is believed he died during a cholera epidemic.

  • Wells, Noah M.

    Wells, Noah M.

    Organized the first church at Brownsville, NY in 1825 and became the first pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Detroit. Died at age 98 and is believed to have been the oldest Presbyterian Clergyman and possibly the oldest of any domination in the country during his time.
