Biographical Information

Born in Albany, NY, in 1783. After graduating from Union College, Studied theology under Doctors Livingston and Bassett and was licensed to preach in 1808 in Schenectady. Became pastor of the Reformed Dutch Church in Poughkeepsie in 1809.
